The southern Sri Lankan countryside that we love to explore is where we all live with our families. We’ve guided thousands of visitors along its quiet tracks over the past two decades. All of us speak good English and are steeped in local lore. We look forward to showing you our villages and bringing Sri Lanka to life for you.
Saman
Saman is our Idle mechanic. And our best wildlife spotter. A classic-bike enthusiast - you’ll find him riding his fixed-gear steel frame bike when he’s off duty
Hasitha
Hasitha began cycling with us at just 16. He’s since toured the whole of Sri Lanka on a bike - treating guests to the wonders of the island’s different regions
Isuru
Isuru is as fit as a fiddle - he gives even the keenest of cyclists a run for their money. He’s been charming our bike tour guests with local wisdom for many years
Lakshman
Lakshman is the integral cog in the Idle Bikes’ machine. He manages the office and organises our tours. And he’s the man behind the wheel of our trusty support tuk tuk
